I wrote this when I was going through my divorce 4 years ago……
I’ve been thinking a lot about change.
Why are we so afraid of change?
Why do we hide from change?
We think of change as something so ugly, frightening, frowned upon. Above all change is something every human is capable of. Making change a reality is one of our biggest strengths.
Thinking about who I was this time last year is painful, it hurts, how I let myself become someone fearful of change.
I might not be the same person today, but it’s a start. That fear was real, I felt it in every inch of my body. With every pounding heartbeat the need for change got stronger.
Today I have cut my own strings, escaping my cage, building my wings. I set myself free. ✨
